I haven't heard anyone talk about the fact that the bystanders weren't tryna do anything, they were just videotaping and pleading. I'm surprised someone didn't step in and idfk throw a punch or something. But then again I'm guessing they didn't want to get arrested. Idk this is just a thought

Yes the cops are fucking stupid but goddamn the people who are stupider are the #blacklivesmatter cucks. Good god, these people protesting don’t care about black rights, look at the videos. Stores getting looted to oblivion people smashing shit for no reason. Just ruckus. Like the Hong Kong protests this is just a bunch of youth filled with anger and looking for a rush, looking to feel apart of something, looking to feel alive amidst this moribund society.

However these people don’t realise if you want to prove a point or make change you don’t react with anger. Yes it may achieve something short term but ultimately the one who gets angry first loses - and look at these protesters they’re fools!

If you really want to make a change you infiltrate political structures and institutions. use heart and mind strategies to turn the tide of public opinion in your favour. 99% of books on war strategy and social manipulation agree on this foundation to get what you want.

I'm not trying to virtual signal, or play the moral high ground, or make you feel bad or anything I swear. But THIS is a perfect example of white privilege and how our experiences with police are sooo different than those of minority communities. What exactly is a bystander supposed to do here??? If the were to get involved the LEAST they'd get would be chargers for assaulting an officer, hindering and investigation, and resting arrest and there's also a possibility you'll get straight up murdered or beat up.

I've had plenty of run ins with cops when skating and at the MOST I've gotten is a verbal warning and sat down on the curb for a "talking to". I try to be respectful and am pretty good at talking my way out of stuff but If I was black or Latino I am 100% sure the cops would not have been as friendly, conversational or lenient.

CLQDisprove anything said in either of those articles or base any sort of argument using a source. You can't even attack whats said in those articles, all you say is "NPR and Wiki bad" it's honestly pathetic.

What do you want me to try and disprove? That Jim Crow/racial segregation/slavery didn’t exist? That’s not what we’re talking about. We’re talking about systematic racism being perpetuated today. Please point me to a single piece of local, state, or federal legislature designed to discriminate against African Americans. Just one. Shouldn’t be hard for you right?

As for the NPR article, not once in that entire article did it mention systematic racism playing a part in the funding of schools. Not once. Every lawsuit mentioned was against how poorer districts were funded. So once again, your proved nothing.




How would you fix the problem? Should the people in wealthier districts pay more tax to fund the poorer school districts, even though their kids will never go to said school? Should the state, who already provides 45% of funding, provide more? Should the federal government get more involved? Just generally curious how you think we should fix this problem.

Yeah they got released like an hour later after being confirmed as media, but in the video you can clearly see the crew was very polite with the police, explained they were with cnn, showed badges, still got arrested.

Inheritance alone is a pretty bad way to measure the totality of generational wealth. Also those stats sound like horse shit to me. Maybe if you narrowly define inherited wealth as cash or something, most people end up giving management of their estate over to their heirs before the die anyway. I guess if we believe what you are saying then black people just suck because they have black skin and there is no reason to learn any history of this country anyway because we already know the answer. Seems legit.

Agreed. It is important to note that there are two groups of "protesters." Those who are responsibly protesting the injustices we have seen play out. I will gladly march alongside this group and protest with them. Then there are the rioters who act like animals and inflict harm on others who have zero involvement in the injustices they are protesting. Trump was right to call them thugs. He was getting charged. The doj was on it and the evidence was conclusive. But do not think that is the biggest issue here. The recent killings have highlighted that there are still racist folks out there and the rioting and looting is only reinforcing their terrible beliefs.

Go out into the world, meet people who may not be like you, form authentic relationships, learn from each other. Race relations get tense when people of different backgrounds isolate from each other and don't understand each other.

I do agree with this post overall. I’m for protest, not destruction. Thing is, it’s not primarily blacks, it’s a mix, Lot of anarchist whites and it’s not for floyd anymore, it’s the totality of recent events causing destruction and looting, and it’s by people who have been looking to rampage not by good honest protestors.

And a message for those causing destruction. You’ve only made it worse, if you swayed one racist with the point of your message, you’ve made 100 more racists bc of your violence. You cowards shoulda mobilized on the 3 cops not innocents and multiple cities, you’ve only given rise to more racism.

What’s funny is the black people probably won’t get targeted by cops for what they did in riots if it wasn’t that bad. But when society shuts down again in a week cops will have nothing to do but review footage and round up rich white kids and slam felonies on them to get money out of their parents.
