To mask or not to mask?

That is the question. Lots of opinions out there; I clicked on an ad from my city recommending masks and the amount of rage between people was insane. The amount of misinformation was also unreal. Reminds me why I hate Facebook, except this was on the NextDoor app.

Anyway where do you fit in? I'm not talking about wearing a mask outdoors; I'm talking about in stores, transportation authorities, and other crowded places. Answer the poll below and throw in a comment. Let's keep this civilized (good luck NS).

My school just made it mndatory to wear masks while youre walking down the street or else get a $100 fine, gonna be interesting to see how they enforce it when theres 15,000 students there

Film.This country isn't as free as I think it is because people such as yourself take the word of the federal government as verbatim and do whatever they tell you to do. I swear to god they'd release some report saying if everyone does the cha cha slide at 7am Covid-19 would be 50% less transmissible. You and a bunch of other people would be clapping and getting down to it at that time. Yes it's the internet I swear on it, get used to it. This whole thing has made me so much more libertarian. At this point in time with the government forcing people to close down their businesses because they aren't "safe" I'm all for the people doing what's in their best interests. If it's in their interests to wear masks because the government forces them to go for it. If you don't want to force people to wear masks in your business you shouldn't have to either.

I'm arguing for personal choice it's not that radical of an idea.

Care for some Ludwig von Mises? Libertarians like Ron Paul are cool but know that many neoliberals purport to be of the libertarian ideology but are really only out to monopolize and price fix.

I do agree that too many people do not question their government, which is a corporation UNITED STATES Inc., which makes it sort of an oxymoron.

Yes, but what about for the greater good? The government has utilized this faux utilitarian collectivist ideology of the greater good for not just COVID but for foreign wars as well or Islamaphobia or bank bailouts, etc.

Film.He won that Supreme Court case FYI as well. He deserves the right to refuse any patron in his business. The same way he deserves the right to not serve someone with a mask/ serve someone without a mask. He recently got sued again for not baking a transgender case. I feel terrible for the guy he's just following his personal beliefs. It's his personal business he can do what he wants with it.

Didn't know that. Yes, it is a bussiess not publicly owned.

But we also must assume that this recent anti-Semitism bill signed by Trump does very much the same thing. It makes boycotting countries, specifically Israel impossible. It also makes criticism of the Israeli government or Zionism a criminal offense which is unconstitutional but they don't really care.

Can a church refuse a homosexual couple from getting married?

ScaredwhiteboyThere are an estimated 500k-1M asymptomatic infected currently in the US. The country has a population of 330M. Any given asymptomatic person has a less than 1% chance of being infected and thus no more than a 1% chance of spreading the virus. The other two facts just further decrease the probabillity that they will spread the virus, although it's hard to estimate exactly by how much until somebody decides to do a rigorous study of them.


There are a few studies indicating that the spread of COVID in endemic areas is .11% in deal situation but other studies show slightly higher percentages whilst other lower.
