Young_pattyThere aren’t really any left that are actually consistent and aren’t just pages and pages of ads (;_;)
eheathTo be fair, skiing mags have always been pages of ads, they just used to look cooler because you were 12 years old.

Young_pattyJeez give it a rest Evan. Don’t even pretend there wasn’t a day when little 22 year old Eheath would get home from school and race upstairs to his room with a new copy of FREESKIER magazine in hand so that he could spend hours looking at cool pictures, read interviews with his favorite pros and cut out pictures of GEAR GIRLS to tape on his wall.
eheathYou meant 12 year old, right? Sure, when I was ignorant of how a ski magazine worked, I loved them, but they were all ads, surprised companies still advertise in ski mags, or any magazine for that matter.

CatdickBojanglesProbably the same reason websites still make apparel with their logos on them...

eheathlmao says the dude who literally knows nothing about NS, how a business works, or had any knowledge of how to run a website. That being said I don't work for NS anymore so fuck off with your petty bullshit.
CatdickBojanglesSomeones grumpy today.
eheathSomeones annoying today.
FruitBootProAight I really wanna buy Snovoid but it's kinda expensive, would you guys recommend the 3 for $35 deal or just get the latest issue for $17?

skiP.E.I.Take a look at Forecast
AlextheskibumThe ski journal, powder mag
WibbyThe Ski Journal, would be thrilled to have more NS members as readers. We do zero reviews... instead our model is, limited advertising, top images and transportation editorial. We are a true indi media group and since we do not do reviews, zero corporate BS.
Yes, The Ski Journal, costs more. Quality things cost more and The Ski Journal is quality.
Here is a Newschoolers subscription package. Free The Ski Journal x Discrete corduroy snapback and free back issue, with paid subscription. The hat is sick and you will dig. Back issue and hat, ship immediately.

FruitBootProImagine if that was still around...
Tfw I missed the rebellious/edgy eras of both skiing and blading.
DolanReloadedMe too. I remember gapers literally jerking off in the park bc of how much skiers were blowing minds. Now its like “meh” bc everybody has seen it
DeebieSkeebiesstill always buy the paperback issue of the Powder photo annual. I know digital is king and you can see them much better online but damn, some of those pictures are truly awesome to study in your hand. Its not much of a collection but i got photo annuals from like 2009/10 and onward. Its nice to flip through on the couch or something. Actual articles though i'll either read the ski journal or NS stuff

highpeakI honestly enjoy Freeskier a lot I just totally ignore the buyers guide. The backcountry issue is always my favorite. In a normal issue, there will usually be about 4-5 articles/full stories that are great reads and a couple others that aren't really that worthwhile.
