Do you delete your emails after you've read them? Or do you click on them/mark them as read and keep pages upon pages of emails in your inbox?

I've had the same email for the last 14 years. Right now there are 8 emails in my inbox. Once I reply to them they get deleted.

But what if it’s an email that you need for later? Like a flight confirmation number or something? Maybe I’m going to be a hoarder when I’m old but I like to know that I can search my emails for something and find it later if I need it lol

I’ll keep those sorts of things for later. That’s why I have 8 emails instead of zero.

I have over 2k unopened :(, majority being spam, as 13 year old me thought getting daily emails in the form of spam would be cool

I delete them. I use specialized software to ensure their deletion along with any associated metadata left behind. Then I instruct my subordinates to destroy any mobile devices I've accessed those emails from. They use hammers to do it.

My work emails get deleted after 3 months if I don’t actively drag them into this special folder in outlook. It’s obnoxious so I never do it, and I always get bit for not having old correspondence when I need it. FML

And my personal inboxes are just a free for all:

Inbox zero, so "delete" but I archive in gmail, still searchable, etc nothing better than an empty inbox.

I delete stupid shit but leave the others. Sometimes I need to go back for emails.

At work I have a sophisticated filing system with folders and sub folders. I try to make it so my actual Outlook inbox does not have to scroll so its only about 15 active emails. The rest are filed in a way that can be easily found and recalled if needed. It sounds excessive but its saved me a bunch of times.

I never delete personal emails cause Gmail doesn't care so now i have over 40,000 unread in my gmail. I delete almost all my work emails because I manage the exchange server and hate people who have massive mail boxes.

Personal email accounts I have never deleted anything.
Work email I put into folders or delete them. It's nice being able to go back and call someone on their bullshit because of past emails. I haven't been keeping up with sorting my inbox since I started working from home, need to get on that before it's too late.
