Suggestions on some new skate wheels?

I’m looking for a new skate wheel, I skate park and street evenly. Anybody have any suggestions?

Spitfire classic. Just ordered a blue set off ebay for $37. I usually buy Mini Logo 54mm 101s and those are pretty good if you don't want to spend too much.

Spitfires turn piss yellow as they age though. Bones makes some pretty dope wheels. Also good wheels are pig wheels, autobahn, and a few others i cant think of atm. My favorite wheels ive ever had are bones atf (all terrain formula) 60mm 80a durometer. They are much quieter on the street and they absorb the tiny bumps in asphalt so its a comfier ride and its also faster gliding. Hard wheels get slowed down by the grit in the road.



What size wheels do you guys prefer?

Honestly, the spitfires I spoke of in this thread may be the worst wheels I've ever had. They have tons of flat spots now.

I just put some elite 56 101a's a few weeks ago. I like em but they're a little more drifty than Id like on smooth wooden bowls. Nice for concrete though.

I might get a cruiser board too. Skating 4 miles on shit roads with hard wheels kinda sucks.

Damn haha. Its kind of crazy because spitfire has been in the game a long time and they are probly the most popular brand of skate wheel but they get pretty shitty reviews. It must suck to work at spitfire and know that bones and pig and autobahn make strong wheels that dont turn yellow as they age, but you still cant figure out what ingredient bones et.al. used To make their wheels stay white.

I agree. I like skating so much more on these 80a (soft) wheels because they smooth over the rough road surface and let you maintain speed easier than rock hard wheels. Unless you are in a smooth concrete skatepark you want soft wheels.



For hard wheels i used to ride these in 62 mm and they were good but again its so much comfier to ride in the street on softer wheels.
They are 84b which means they are over 100a (really hard)

Also these just came in the mail today im planning on putting them on my bustin yoface 35. They are huge 69 mm which are the biggest skateboard style wheels (rounded) i could find. They are 82a durometer so ill be able to roll over twigs and shit without locking up

I love them. I cant powerslide them but they seem to hardly wear down at all which is pretty dope considering how soft they are.

I usually just skate concrete parks, mini ramps, and this wood bowl in south lake. But for transportation idk how big a fan of the hard wheels I am.
