Can I change the normal toe out with a tech toe?

I have a pair of Dalbello Panterra 100's and was wondering if it was possible to put a tech toe on them or something like that...

look up CAST, they can do it for $200. I’ve had interest in doing a diy but somehow don’t think that’s a good idea...

Some shops will do it for you, but it can screw your boot up if they mess up

Here's how CAST does it. It's a little more than just drilling holes:

Pretty sure the ones from Cast are not certified for downhill use. Nor would your at home version. By all means go for it if you feel comfortable, but it seems like way too much of a risk. Should go full CAST or just get new boots. money > knee surgeries

noooo.... don't do that.....

I mean unless you have a LOT of experience with both ski boots and have the tools to do it perfectly. The 200$ for CAST to do it is cheaper than a new pair of boots when you destroy yours.

I had a similar idea...but to use it in combination with the shift bindings/duke pt. So I wouldn't have to rely on the inserts for downhill...do you think that's a safe way to do it?
I then would go with a diy way, because I don't think they have to hold up that much, if I'm just going up with the pins.

I went and did my research, DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF! it's worth it to just get new boots
