What do you guys want in ski gear that doesn't exist?
For me I want a boot that I can walk in comfortably and be able to drive in. I think creating a boot using the material used in Renoun could achieve a boot like that. At slower speeds its soft and flexible but with the increase of vibrations it will stiffen up and perform like a standard boot.
commencaldhprobably already been said but, a jacket that's actually waterproof enough to handle a full wet snow day like we get on the west coast w/o having to go with the trash bag strategy

elm.B-dog edgless was the first step. Nylon/carbon combo would be good I think. Just know they'll never be that sharp. Or some metal that has good thermal shock, but it's prlly too expensive.
woudnt carbon crack more then alluminum? atleast alluminum can bend a little bit
I want a facemask which doesnt get wet/freeze, and gloves which will actually stay over or under my jacket. A cheap simple helmet with a twist to tighten that doesnt come off with the ears would be nice too.
Transition lenses which change fast and are actually good in both low and high light be soooooo nice. Imagine going from a sunny side of the mountain to a shady part and being able to see just as well.
BayAreaJerryall zippers should definitly pull up to close so that if you accidently dont zip them all the way you dont lose all your shit
When zippers pull up to close, they inevitably unzip even if you closed them all the way, so you lose all your shit. It's also harder to close them all the way when the zip upward because the loose fabric gets pulled with the zipper, causing waves and wrinkles when you need flat material for the zipper to close.

Jackets zip up and dont come undone? you can pull fabric down too??? I have shorts which zip down and I always end up zipping shit out of the pocket like pens so it sticks out. Also I find I accidently dont zip things all the way up especially when Im skiing with mitts on
Gear detector. Say you crash in waist deep powder and lose a ski; you pull out your phone and the app helps you find that missing ski with a direction arrow.
This would have saved me 45 minutes of trudging and using poles to troll for a ski. I dont know how anyone finds the white bentchetlers

Goggles with a heads up display and showed stuff like mph ,air temp, altitude, a clock, incoming texts/rmails/calls ,were you are on a topo map via GPS, the list goes on . Probably fantasy now but someday the technology might be there.

MortbrokemyskisMore long skis in general. It’s hard to find a 190 park ski that I want to ride I feel like most skis could use atleast another size. I am 6’5 and 200pounds though so I’m definitely bigger than most but a man can dream.
Although crazy expensive, there are custom ski shops who could make skis to whatever length and specs you could want.

Buy the bike version of helmets. I have the Bern Macon bike. Its the same shell and foam, the twist function is still there, no ear pieces tho.

Not sure if you’ve seen em, but the Columbia Outdry coats are insanely waterproof. They’re a bit rubbery, but there’s nearly a 0% chance of any water getting in. It’s been such a godsend to own in the PNW
