Whats up guys. Some of you may have seen my thread about the content that NS has been putting out lately, and the idea of a meet up came up. Obviously Im not affiliated with NS in any way other than being a member, but I'd be super down to organize a day for everyone to pull up and throw down. I think it would be an awesome way to meet new people and product some good content for the site. I myself am located at UNH, so I can travel a decent bit. I've attached a poll to see where people would like to meet based on ease of travel to and from. If anyone has other suggestions, feel free to type them in a reply. @Celery and @little1337, I'm looking to you guys to help with this. Also, Im better with a camera than I am on skis, so I would cover the day and film/produce a lil somethin. If anyone else likes to film and wants to pull up, let me know! This is a long ways away, but I figured it would be a good motivator to help everyone have something to look forward to next season. Cheers guys!
I never saw this thread a few months ago, but I'm down if I don't have work. The past few seasons I haven't been motivated to ski much so this would be a great excuse to actually go
Anywhere with rope tow park laps would be sick. If not Loon is pretty central and fairly easy to get to for most. Keep us updated, would love to hear if this happens sometime this season !

pinkcamo1000it would be sick to do at some small local hill, that way it would be like a legit takeover of the mountain lol.
I suggest Titcomb in Farmington, ME. Easy to get to and we would def be able to coordinate with the locals for building a sick park setup. T-bar laps are ~5 minutes and passes are less than 20 bucks. Also it has a hilarious name. Maybe some UMF kids will throw and after party for us.

Stay positive everyone , even as things are closing , being restricted etc. I think the distribution of a vaccine will get things opening back up quickly, and the steps of the next administration will reinforce that, some public cooperation and necessary things unfortunate closings should speed up recovery and at least save spring skiing for a near 100% open
Rn I’m just keeping up with current state travel, and resort restrictions to secure what I can for this season, prob just gonna buy some tickets and save the ikon pass for next year til more concrete rules occur
For if the border doesnt open: hiked out to the US/CAN border yesterday, and its got some real potential as side country spot. Apparently its pretty popular with the skidoo boys so doubtful on fresh powder, but where i was there were a few good cliffs to huck, and some long ass descents. Im planning on making the mission at least once. There’s probably some sections that are relatively accessible from both sides🤷♂️

Well health experts are saying there's no chance for herd immunity in the States due to the amount of resistance to vaccines, so it's going to be essentially impossible to contain community spread in most places. Many jurisdictions in the States have done nothing meaningful to limit spread. The mayor of New York City has said the city will be open as normal by July.
Ontario is pretty fucked rn with the Doug administration just throwing out random, confusing and contradictory rules, but still has more of a plan and direction in dealing with COVID than a lot of areas in the U.S.

By resistance to vaccines, do you mean that people are resisting getting the vaccine, or do you mean that the people bodies who have received the vaccine are resisting the vaccine as a medicine?

Not sure if people's bodies are resisting the vaccine but there's an insane amount of people in polls who say they aren't getting vaccinated, probably enough to prevent herd immunity.
It’s not just the people refusing to get vaccd, there weren’t vaccines for people under 18, they are now offering it to ages 16+, ages 12-15 are expected very soon, and ages 2-11 in the fall. Idk that this will make herd immunity, but it should be damn close.
