Ice Coast NS Ski takeover

Whats up guys. Some of you may have seen my thread about the content that NS has been putting out lately, and the idea of a meet up came up. Obviously Im not affiliated with NS in any way other than being a member, but I'd be super down to organize a day for everyone to pull up and throw down. I think it would be an awesome way to meet new people and product some good content for the site. I myself am located at UNH, so I can travel a decent bit. I've attached a poll to see where people would like to meet based on ease of travel to and from. If anyone has other suggestions, feel free to type them in a reply. @Celery and @little1337, I'm looking to you guys to help with this. Also, Im better with a camera than I am on skis, so I would cover the day and film/produce a lil somethin. If anyone else likes to film and wants to pull up, let me know! This is a long ways away, but I figured it would be a good motivator to help everyone have something to look forward to next season. Cheers guys!

We could match it up with a Ski No Boundaries day. It's a group that does discounted tickets at different resorts throughout the winter.

I personally would prefer Sunday River, the park is usually pretty friggin good and the other shit is pretty great as well. I would definitely be open to anywhere in NH as well. Also the loaf would be pretty sick, but in my opinion it gets really crowded.

Fucking so down for a New England meetup

Just throwing it out there that, if we do one of the NH mountains it's much easier for the Mass people to get there. Sunday and Sugarloaf are a fuckin trek.

(Also please don't judge me for being shitty af at skiing)

it would be sick to do at some small local hill, that way it would be like a legit takeover of the mountain lol.

I suggest Titcomb in Farmington, ME. Easy to get to and we would def be able to coordinate with the locals for building a sick park setup. T-bar laps are ~5 minutes and passes are less than 20 bucks. Also it has a hilarious name. Maybe some UMF kids will throw and after party for us.

One possible option could be a Wildcat for the morning, to get some All Mountain shredding in then take the 15 minute drive over to Attitash later in the afternoon for some park, I haven't been there since I was like 12 but I remember it was pretty good. I know that the season pass works at both mountains, but not sure about the tickets, if they do it might be a good option. I also love the idea of actually taking over a smaller mountain such as titcomb for the day. It would be pretty sick.

I've got a friend who used to snowboard there and said it was pretty legit. It's also pretty central for most people I think.

Shawnee peak is in a good location, close to NH/MA/Southern ME. I don't know anyone on their park crew though. They have some sketchy af gigantic features though

Can confirm. Some kid broke his leg on one of those features on a middle school ski trip and we all had to leave early to go to the hospital. Kid got shit on for ruining our ski day.

for real though. I went once this season when they had the park set up and it was so nuts. Lots of features that used to be more common in the 2000s (thats for sure how old they are) like giant a-frame box, massive wallride, some other big gnarly rails, all bent to shit from years of abuse. Certainly not what I would call a safe terrain park lmao. Big Rock's is similar.

yeah man I saw that shit too, I was honestly blown away by some of the features they had set up. There was a huge spine which was dope but the day I was there it was a little too icy to send. If you gapped the whole thing candide superpark style it would've been like 50 feet

Definitely, most parents probably also wouldn't be chill with getting a ride with "some random guy from the internet" My parents most definitely wouldn't, but I'm 16 so I can drive, so it doesnt matter.

Sounds like a lot of fun I’m in for Anything ski. I can film for people too, I’m no pro cameraman but I’m willing to film and follow and provide your footage for free, be great to learn from some of you as well, maybe smoke a bowl wit skierman


And instead of one mountain , let’s do several. I know not everyone has resources for several but for those who are down I can clear a few weeks, got some spare boots and skis and shit even pants someone could borrow stead of renting

Mount snow is the easiest to get to for most people especially RI, CT, MA wouldn't hurt the northern NH and ME people to drive more then 10min to ski once in a while.

This seems like a good idea, not too far from anyone, except for maybe the dudes in western mass and ct, but seeing the distribution of people on the pole it would be more convenient for most to be in central NH.
