Happy Monday everyone!

This week we got the winner of our very own Best Female Skier of the Year Award - Taylor Lundquist!!
This girl is one of skiing's raddest characters with a heart of gold and a smile that kills. She continues to push the envelop of style in all directions and never stops turning heads whether she's skiing, snowboarding or skating.

I grew up in Park City, so everyone around me was doing it. But I actually used to love rollerblading and wanted to be in the x games for that lol. Then I saw Kaya Rollerblading and skiing and I knew that’s what I wanted to do (:

I think that all the girls would agree with me on this one but I would say just being in a new place and only 20 days to film a full movie. Put a little extra stress on us

haha of course I have. Never finished a full slvsh game tho! Hoping to get one going!
if I could pick anyone to play with it would be J-Lee
i lost track of how many tattoos I have, something close to 25? And no so far plan on getting nothing removed
it’s actually kinda of the same...stretch, eat, make sure you pack extra gloves n clothes. Research where u going, look at the hours, is there snow..it’s quite the production but I most def enjoy that process way more! So that means no on the Olympics, I’m done being under FIS
When I was growing up in park city, it was the shit. now we all know it’s corporate and there’s about 200 kids training to be something with a coach. Which is cool, respect, I tried to do the same thing but it’s just not for me. Brighton has a nice ma and pa vibe n lots of homies just tryna have fun. Not learn dubs before lots of other things..

What is your advice to skiers who want to learn to skate better, and what skills can they transition to help them improve?

I think skating has helped my skiing a lot. I would have to put a lot more focus and effort to learn something. And now I just translate that to my skiing. Be aggressive and give it your all, don’t half ass in skiing or skating or your gunna get hurt kinda thing.

Just take small steps. Watch people who are good and look at what they do with whatever you want to learn. I would literally Ollie over cracks and once I got that Ollie over a can etc...once I Learned an Ollie I learned a shove it...I would go in the bottom of the bowl and just teach myself how to pump up and down the wall. Little things go a long way. Keep it up.

Hey Jade, thanks so much for the kind words! And yes I hope to come down in Sept but we’ll see if it’s a go with all the crazy stuff happening in the world.

thats question is hard, I would say no you can’t tell much of a difference. Sometimes they will make them with less sturdy materials because we are lighter..And no I don’t have a preference.

I am in the thought process of getting line to make a ski I want to design and it would be “unisex” whatever that means with skis lol.

Is it difficult not having as many female ambassadors in the sport?

Is it viable for female park skiers to look up to male park skiers or is it different?

I think that skiing will always be up and down. So who knows, I feel like it’s going in a great direction now. More people are making their own movies, doing there own thing with it. Not just going down the contest route. Or I’ve noticed people are so well rounded, good at BC, street, park. It’s going good, don’t be worried (:

it’s absolutely difficult, we all know there’s not a lot of girls in this sport. I hope that I have inspired other girls to get out there. N hopefully we start seeing more girls getting out there. Encourage the girls (:

CyanicenineWhat's your opinion on mountain biking? You live in a good place for it, and get to ride the same mountains, and still catch air, hit drops etc. I find it to have much more active women's community than park skiing and probably skateboarding, although I don't really know what the women's skate scene looks like.

I love mountain biking, I grew up doing it with my momma. But yeah no downhill stuff, just cross country. We’d always go to Moab.



I haven’t really put myself in the community tho. I bet it has a great one. One day I’ll get back into it, just have other passions rn.
The skateboard community has an amazing Community of girls.

i used to play soccer , loved rollerblading as a kid lol
i mtn bike a lot in the summer, it’s really good for the knees!

I used to just ski for fun with my mom. I grew up in park city so everyone around me like joss and Alex were good. I remember I was skiing on the weekend with my girlfriend and I came back to school and the boys saw me pizzaing down payday n they made fun of me. So I was like thatsss it I’m gunna try and get good at this thing. So I asked my mom if I could get a coach n a couple years later I did.
