I don’t like being political. But I am actually upset at what I’ve read.
For everyone who is pointing out low unemployment and healthy economy and all the other stuff claims he did: he didn’t. He didn’t go hire minorities. He didn’t build the businesses. The truth is you can find some data out there to support whatever you want about who ever you want. And that’s what he did and everyone since the beginning of the internet has done: manipulated facts to say what they want.
What it all boils down to is critical analysis; an art our society has bastardized and forgotten. This means the ability to actively look at information and decide what it means and how important it is.
I am politically neutral. I affiliate with no party, and I watch no news or media outlets. When there is an uproar about something I go research it independently and make up my own mind.
I have lost respect for President Trump for a few main reasons:
1). He lacks critical thinking skills. He assumes something is true or untrue based on who he heard it from and whether it suits his agenda. His opinions and policies sway in the wind depending on what the people and most importantly what Republican voters like to hear.
2). If he is accused of wrong doing or making a mistake his first inclination is to divert attention to people and entities he has deemed an enemy to him or the Republican Party. You see this in his frequent blaming and finger pointing and calling out of the opposite party and it’s leaders.
3). He is arrogant. He thinks he is correct and if something doesn’t have to do with him he doesn’t care. A recent Washington Post article (I can go find it if you would like) stated that Trump refused to read national security briefings regarding the coronavirus because he was “bored” with them. These meetings are classified and are meant to brief the president of national emergencies and threats, no laughing or unimportant matter. They began using his name in the briefings because it would keep his attention longer.
The media give trump a very hard time because he doesn’t answer questions and when put on the spot he reflects unwanted attention.
Today tens of thousands of Americans have lost their lives to the virus that he mocked for months. Yet President Trump is playing it as a victory. And his supporters believe him because they mistake his arrogant and insecure behavior as being gutsy and manly. They believe that Donald Trump has saved lives, when his dismissive and unconcerned behavior has killed now over 63,000 American citizens.
Whatever your political beliefs or your opinions of what I have said, it is evident that President Trump has shown poor leadership skills and demonstrated an inability to take responsibility during a national crisis.
I have only touched the surface of the impact and poor leader shit President Trump has displayed.
