I taught myself to code last year by building a dating bot in the form of a keyboard (http://www.datingkeyboard.com). It works across text and dating apps and suggests messages and dates for you so you can carry on with your life without the confusion of dating. at the time, i didnt realize it would turn out so ethically murky, and now im not sure i want to release it. but i also don't want to throw away all those hours.
here's the thing. it's putting words in peoples mouths, you know? i told a few girls i went on dates with about the keyboard and it did not go well. "wait i was flirting with a bot?" "no, no, i have control over the bot" "but you didnt come up with the messages?" i expected it to be provocative, but was still taken aback
it's in beta now. im hoping you guys will share your thoughts
