What in your opinion is the best most reliable edge construction (like 3/4 wrap moments, or atomic delam braces etc)?

There seems to be a ton of different methods companies use to make their ski edges felexible and not eat shit and kill themselves when they get slammed onto a rail. What do you think is the best system?

In my experience Atomic edges can take a hammering and a half before the edges rip out. However, I find their sidewalls, core, and base to be ridiculously weak. My sidewall blew up and fully ripped out underfoot along with the core and base cracking (my ski literally had holes in it, the sidewall and core were like a huge mouth to the inside of the ski) way before even the slightest bit of edge ripped out. So although the edges are stupid durable, the rest of the ski is wine glass level fragile. I’ve owned multiple pairs of Punx’s and had this issue with all of them, and I know other people on Punx’s experiencing the same problems.

I feel like atomic and fischer are like competitive brothers and fischer skis always seem to get the nod for durability.

Can only speak to 3/4 as I've only owned ON3P's for years now but I find the 3/4 durability to work great. Have had no issues.

3/4 edge wrap, 2.5 by 2.5 mm edges, sandwich construction. period. 4001 series base. These all contribute to holding the edge in. Check specs, most companies don’t use that beefy of materials.

moment runs a 2.2 by 2.2 if I remember right.

on3p has the best construction imo, with moment right behind them.

Might be mistaken but some armadas have 2.5 by 2.5

The 2016 Armada BDog's have some pretty thick edges. Still have zero edge cracks, though I don't ride them too much anymore since I gave them to my dad a year ago. Still did a season and a half 90% park and they held up. Can anyone confirm if they still use the same edges?

Armadas connecting of the TTT teeth of the edge seems to work pretty well i have heard good things about edge durability
