Line Pandora 94 right for girlfriend?

Hi all. So my gf is riding on some ancient carving skis like 10cm shorter than her and while she says she wants to get more into skiing, she’s pretty timid (comfy on blues but trees/blacks are a decided effort) and I think the sticks are holding her back. She really wants to learn and get better.

Looking at the line pandora 94 as a solid but light and maneuverable ski for her (with a killer deal). We’re on the west coast so generally softer snow and the occasional bit of pow. She’s contemplating a frame binding so she could dabble with touring in the future. Thoughts?

Also in terms of size, she’s 168cm tall and if I were her height I’d go 172 for sure, but she might be better with the 165? Or is there enough rocker that the longer length would be ok even as an intermediate skier?

Side note she’s really into the honey bee graphics (and price) but I have discouraged those since she doesn’t have any plans to ride park and it wouldn’t likely help make turns any more fun, but if anyone has other thoughts on this lemme know!

Pandora sounds like a great option for her. From what i’ve heard, they’re light and maneuverable, a lot like the mens equivalent, the Sick Day.

In terms of sizing, I would opt for the 172 if she’s an advanced skier. With lots of rocker the Pandora series rides a bit short. Also, 94 underfoot should be plenty for her size, unless she is on the bigger side.

I also vote for choosing the 172. Don't make the same mistake I did and go with too short of skis for my first twin tips.I spent two seasons on them. The middle of this season I realized they were holding me back. I got new ones at the end of this season and they were a game changer.

I've got a mate who was in exactly the same situation with his gf, got her the Pandora 94's as well and from what I heard she was stoked on them. Size wise the rocker is enough that she will proabably be fine on the 172

I think the ski is a good choice but I wouldn't push her onto a bigger size than she's comfortable with. The 165 should be fine. Remember she probably doesn't want to ski as aggressively as you do and also the longer size is going to be heavier which she likely won't like.

Do you have a hookup on Line skis? Looking at the pandora and honey bee, any other skis?

I would not limit my self exclusively to twins if she doesn't really have a lot of plans to land tricks switch. A lot of skis can carve just fine switch even if they are not true twins. Consider a blizzard samba circa 2014ish and potentiallly save some cash by getting a bomber used setup

No hookup on line - just particularly good deals and she likes the graphics. If there are other skis (like the blizzards the guy above mentioned) we’d probably be open to that! And yeah directional is also definitely in the cards- used probably not as much. I just am out of my element when it comes to suggesting directional skis.

Good points on the length. She’s leaning 172 but yeah I imagine she doesn’t plan to straightline anything on these. Though she definitely would like to float in pow and get more comfortable with speed and I feel like length would be good for that at any ability level. Kind of a sacrificing a bit of maneuverability the first couple days for the next couple years type of thing. She runs and bikes and does all these fitness classes though so I imagine leg strength shouldn’t be an issue.

Liberty Genesis 96
Would both be good options but you'll probably be able to find the Pandoras cheaper than either.
