Worst Amazon mistakes or experiences

Amazon has been pretty great to me. They usually fix or refund issues promptly so I can't complain. I have no worries this will be sorted out but figured I'd share cuz it's so outrageous. So I ordered a 64oz Pelican insulated bottle off Amazon, and instead the seller sent me a 29oz can of Valspar paint lmao. Wtf not even close. Shipped on 4/20. Coincidence? I think not

I got this beauty for free--- we tried to return it but they had no records of it ever being shipped do we couldn't. No complaints there.

Sent my friend a bunch of gifts for a baby shower, none of the gifts they recieved were what I ordered, but they were still baby related. They ended up getting the correct stuff plus got to keep the other stuff so it was a win.

Bought a pretty nice laptop, when it arrived the specs were sharpie'd over and a new label was placed on the box. I didn't boot it up, instead I contacted the manufacturer to run the sn and tell me the specs. At best, it was an honest inventory issue. At worst, they were trynna pedal a laptop that had half the specs for the same price as a much nicer unit. I was pretty heated but amazon took care of me and got my money back. Shit's sketch sometimes.

Jeff bozos deserves every dime he gets, amazon is one quality way to buy stuff and returns are painless and just drop the item at ups, they scan the code from your phone and you don't have to even box it up. But I did get some louisiana cobler mix that didn't rise and just returned a dark grey nonskid deck paint because it was literally baby blue so the gave me my money back and I got to keep the paint so nothing bad to say really except the cobler mix issue and I probably spend a couple grand a year there

Somewhat related guestion. Thinking about working in one of their warehouses if my internship gets pushed back this summer (which it might). Tuey are advertising decent pay. Anybody know what the Amazon warehouse life is like?

I found its best way to handle issues or returns is use the live chat feature. I swear those people will bend over backwards for you even if you hint at being pissed off. I got quite a few free months of Prime for chatting in if my Prime shipments were even 1 day late and they almost always pay for return shipping.

Delivery driver would be vastly preferable to warehouse drone, but I think they push you pretty hard to hit your goals of X number of packages per hour and probably get upset if you stop for six minutes to drop a deuce in a Starbucks somewhere.

buying shit from amazon is just as slow or slower than buying from any other site because of where I live.

there is no mail delivery in my town because it's a tourist ski town and people come and go like the wind so it's all PO Boxes

too many times I've purchased shit on amazon; gotten a shipping notification; waited; waited; never comes; contact seller; sorry we don't ship to PO boxes


then why the FUCK did you told me you shipped it motherfucker

and then when they actually send it off they usually require a signature just to be fuckers so I have to get a slip from my box and then stand in a massive line to collect it.

Whelp today takes the cake. Ordered a mattress and it was not "hand delivered to a resident" as the tracking said. None of my neighbors either. How do you mistakenly hand deliver a 122lb refrigerator sized package to the wrong location??? Rephrasing. How high do you have to be to fuck this up? Also Amazon customer service is basically shut down so the only way to contact them is to fill out a fake return...

Ordered a pair of Oakley Holbrooks got them in the mail perfectly fine but some how the tracking fucked up and Amazon said they lost the package so they sent me a second pair for free.

I will vouch for the other members as it is probably the worst warehouse job in the industry. Had a couple friends work there and they didn’t last more than a couple weeks.
If by any chance you live near a Patagonia warehouse, jump on that shit. The entire vibe is really relaxed, there are a ton of chicks, you get insane discounts and they let you drink beer on the clock for holidays/bdays.

I didn't know that some items are stored together from multiple sellers in the warehouses and then shipped at random.

I ordered an expensive flashlight and the first one I got was a quality fake. After talking with customer service I found out that the legit and fakes get all mixed up and Amazon doesn't give a fuck to check them all. I just returned it and finally got a real one, for $50+ cheaper than regular price from a real store, so it's a totally legit purchase method.

I do agree that they aren't usually the cheapest place anymore for stuff. If I'm seriously buying something I'll check every site on the internet for prices. But Amazon is nice for little shit that I'm willing to spend an extra dollar or so to have without leaving
