Replying to Skis for Summer Setup
Another summer setup thread.
I'm considering having a rail setup in my backyard this summer but I don't know what I should use for skis if I do. Right now I just have one pair of all-mountain/park skis and some old directional 130s or something from when I was 10. I'm guessing that it's a bad idea to use my normal skis because the bases will probably get beaten up. How would it be to use my old skis? I'm worried that 1) It's going to be harder to learn tricks on them, and 2) I won't be able to transfer the tricks I learn to my actual skis. I'll also have to figure out what to use for bindings if I use these
So should I use one of these pairs that I already have, or would it be worth it to buy a pair of beater skis to use with the setup? Any other advice?
