I was thinking someone ought to invent treadmills, excercise bikes even weight machines that generate electricity and hook them up to the grid. Then health clubs and people at home can be getting paid to excercise for their electricity generated. Taking it a step further, round up all the homeless people and make them generate electricity and prisons too, just a thought.
could be wrong here but I think most modern exercise bikes do this already. they just use more electricity for the screen/metrics/tensioning than most people would produce in an exercise. the bikes at the gym I go to show exactly how much power you generated when you finish

You will get a better return just to transfer the energy straight to an appliance mechanically rather than make electricity. For example there are lots of bike powered washing machines you will see if you search for it

if anyone is an engineer and likes to design tools, equipment, etc, you might want to look into designing products for golf course maintenance cuz you can come up with fairly simple ideas for stuff and make a killing selling it to superintendents across the globe. Seriously, you wouldn't believe how much it costs to order something like a handle for a bunker rake or the teeth of the rake in surplus.
I had an idea for a multi-tool with basic tool and blade attachments but it has ballmark repair tools, soil sample tools, sprinkler head attachments, all the basic stuff you need in your pocket that way you dont have to fumble around in your cart for tools.

My friends dad made invented a putter with a laser or something in it back in like the 90s and hasn’t worked since. It’s weird because I’ve never seen or heard of one still

Saran wrap is the most frustrating stuff, always gets tangled and pisses people off so my invention is to have it cut before they roll it up at the factory so it's a roll of a whole bunch of squares of saran wrap.
