What was it like living in Glacier and skiing Baker all season?

What's your touring setup? Do you use it for booters and big cliffs or do you sled lap those more often?

How come you can’t get ROSSIGNOL to make a dope park ski??? The black ops 98 is my daily but I’m talking a center mounted 88 or 90 wide with a ton of camber... ski boss and Evan raps had the SCRATCH....

Naww frontflips are sick. I think Zig Zag is the segment that I am most proud of that I filmed with Level 1 but filming for After Dark and Sunny was a really great time in my life, I have a lot of really fond memories from those seasons.

I've had better and I've had worse. Took a hard fiver afterwards but we kept skiing that day. All in all that was a really good day.

I really love Glacier / Baker. I use the CAST touring set up, would highly recommend for anyone, especially people who wanna hit cliffs and jumps and shit. Only used my snowmobile two days this year. And thank you for the question!

I asked Freedle and we agreed that its better for the legend of James to live and remain in peoples imagination. That was one of the sketchiest things I've ever seen in person.

SofaKingSickScariest thing you’ve done on skis


One time in the Whistler Backcountry I was standing on top of this knife edge cornice and while I was putting my radio away I started to slide backwards so slowly I didnt notice. I fell into this like 200ft tall vertical ice chute with rock at the bottom and self arrested. I took my skis off and tried and climb out but it was so narrow and steep I couldn't move without falling over backwards. I yelled for Dahrkness and he had to come rescue me with a rope. He pulled me out back on top of my line and my heart was pounding out of my chest. Then Sean Logan hit me on the radio and said we were losing light on the line and I needed to drop. So I just dropped in right then and ski'd this line and it ended up being the cover of The Ski Journal. But yeah, that was really fuckin scary.

I was racing stock cars at the time and this lady Pam would let us park our cars at her house and work on them there. Her neighbor is a good buddy of ours Cal Arnold I think I was helping him tune his carburetor on his truck and I noticed that jacket in his front seat and told him how much I liked it. The next time I went back to my racecar that Jacket was sitting in the drivers seat for me. Thanks Cal!
