short story: not great in warm snow, very similar to most all-temp waxes in all other temperatures in my experience.

Interesting. I think permanent wax kind of takes some of the fun out of it. Like when you have fresh wax on your skis and you glide like you were on an ice rink.

That and waxing (same with bike maintenance) has a bit of a zen thing to it. I find it relaxing.

The only gripe I had with it was not really helping you at slower speeds, which is kind of when I want a good wax so I can get some speed. If you really never want to wax again then go for it, but simply put, it's not as good as a real hot wax.
