Removing Pivot Toes

Hey, this might be a stupid question, but im suppose to trade a pair of skis in today and I am really struggling to get my pivot toe pieces off and am really scared I am going to strip the screw. Any one have any advice? Obviously, with the virus and everything I can't take them to a shop rn.

Just unscrew it, youll be fine. It might take some force to break the glue bond but if you use a pozi head screwdriver you wont strip the head

as paul mentioned, it needs to be a POSIDRIV #3 bit. you can sometimes get away with a massive phillips head but usually it begins to strip the screw. ask your friends and neighbors if they have a posidriv bit if you dont have one.

Yeah I was using a big ass phillips head and it was starting to strip them, luckily the guy I was trading skis w was able to get us into a shop to have someone do it for me. Thanks for the heads up tho ima get the right bit for next time

Good save. Yea I ended up buying one a while back and have never regretted it. It’s always coming in clutch
