steezeplease.Love the idea of the shift, I was going to get them on wildcat 108s, but after I read some reviews, a lot of people had problems with them breaking and being kinda sketch, idk though
steezeplease.Sick! Don’t know anyone with them, would you recommend them?
KevskiGot shifts on my Kartel 108s and love them. Definitely a bit on the heavy end for tours but worth it on the way down! No issues with the shift beyond some bad icing gumming up the switch from one mode to another on occasion. Downhill I don’t notice any difference.
As for the Mags I’m not sure I’d want a near-centre mount and detuned edges in the backcountry, but depending on what you’re planning to do and the conditions you typically face they could make for some fun. The detune is pretty real - don’t expect to be able to lay into a carve on harder snow the same way you would on a ski with tuned edges. You get used to it though and it’s not an issue in softer snow! They’ll be playful skis all over.
animatorRight on brotha good advice, got em in the mail today and the detune is CRAZY. I did detune an older pair of park sticks but I haven’t skied them yet. The Mags are gonna be my soft snow daily ski/touring/very occasional park ski. Soft snow/pow, I don’t need to worry about the detune as much do I?
