bring some ramen noodles and ask for or get a cup of hot water- most resorts have this. Then simply put the noodles and flavor in the water and mix it up and boom you have a hot meal

skiP.E.I.-Depending on where you ski/work, if you are around all the time and get to know the staff sometimes they will surreptitiously wave you through or give a discount or the cooks will hide a few extra pancakes or eggs on the plate.
-I have gotten free meals for unloading the sysco truck when the caf was slammed.
-The best deal I've seen was a basket full of day old sandwiches at Whitewater for a loonie each.
-Way back in the day I used to buy chili or soup from my home hill and load my pockets up with all the crackers they had.
-At an event where there was a nature valley tent I loaded a backpack with about 70 bars.
-On weekends when there's a ton of staff around I usually finish everyone's fries which they inevitably don't finish.
-The one time I went to Whis my pass card wouldn't work and they gave me a $20 voucher because I had to wait about 15 mins for it to get sorted out. I got a burger platter with it and was surprised how good it was.
- I always just carry snacks in my pockets because I'm usually on the hill around 6 hours a day.
-The snow school director where I work also has a drawer full of clif bars in cases someone doesn't have a lunch.
-Have ordered pizza to the hill or designate someone to do a take out run.

They're free at my two local mtns and each pack has 70 calories of pure carbs. You can easily eat like 7 of them and that's a meal right there in terms of calories.
