EndoCrocI want to make a tow rope for my backyard, any suggestions on how to make one?
Biffbarf1.) obtain old running used dirtbike, lawnmower, generator, snowmobile, snowblower, etc
2.) Make pulley system (hubs/wheels/tires from dirtbikes or lawn equipment)
3.) Anchor pulley and motor system into the ground
4.) Connect pulley and motor system with a rope
5.) profit
EndoCrocWhen you put it that way it seems so easy. Lol thanks
BiffbarfYeah np man. It really wouldn't be too hard. A dirtbike would be choice because you can choose the gear and clamp the throttle at any speed you want. A rope wrapped around a dirtbike tire connected to bare wheel that spins freeley is all you need. How you make everything stay put is the hard part. Trees, deep stakes, etc. Sky's the limit.

pinkcamo1000yo just a word of caution, I've heard some horror stories about people getting tangled up in DIY rope tows that have no emergency shut off and losing limbs and stuff. Have a homie nearby who can quickly turn it off if shit goes south
dogfacemattThat old video of Red Gerards backyard has a dirtbike rope like this and it looks slick
