Touring setup for small kids???

so i have a 9 year old and a 6 year old brother who want to tour, but i cant seem to find a setup for them in their size. either the boots are way too stiff or the bindings minimum din is way too high. do you guys kno some stuff that would go down to like a 1 din and really soft (like 40) flex boots? any reccomends would be super helpfull.

Kids bindings and some alpine trekkers. I think Contour has also made some touring adapters for kids.

Going to be hard to find sizes for kids that age. Maybe just have them snow shoe up the hill and swap gear at the top.

yea thats what weve been doin. it ends up with me and my dad just carrying ther skis aswell as our gear lol.

idk they have been just walking it with snowshoes since the resorts close and begging to get some skins and more dedicated gear. i guess they just wanna ski pow with me and my dad lol

I don’t have kids, but I hear if their your kids you could just tell them to suck it up and carry your own gear if you want to ski. Just say it’s character building. And if they don’t make it you could always adopt an older kid who’d carry his own gear.

Hell, an older adopted kid would probably would offer to carry your dads skis and yours the whole way up the mountain. He’d be just grateful to leave the orphanage.

I would just wait until they can actually tour. Why blow money on a six and nine year old for touring which they're gonna out grow in a year.

As a dad of 9 and 6 year olds I congratulate your pops.

I think mine would be down for a short lap, maybe two. Most definitely up for hiking a little kicker or something but I'm too far from the mountains to make it work.

The Marker tour F10 is a frame binding that has a DIN range 3-10 and minimum BSL of 265. That could potentially work for a bigger 9yo...maybe? I didn't look at all the options for frame bindings though. Let us know what you find!
