mattm7Went from ghost FS 90 to S Max 120
Pretty similar sizing, s max are much lighter and obviously stiffer. Got the ankles punched out and the fit is better.
onenerdykidGhost boots came out of the X-Max mold series, not the X-Pro. They call it a "100mm" fit because the liner is thinner. It fits nothing like the X-Pro nor the S-Pro.
Julius_SteezerWould the s/max or x/max be a better fit then theoretically? Also out of interest what’s the difference between the pro and max lines?
onenerdykidPro = 100mm, their medium volume last but it's still low over the instep and very wide, way wider than 100mm.
Max = 98mm, lower volume all over in comparison, especially in the toe box.
The closest thing from Salomon to your old boot will be a new S-Max, but that doesn't mean it will be the same.
You've probably heard me say it a 1000 times, but don't buy a boot online. Wait until someone can see your foot and see it inside the shell. This is how most sob stories begin.
air.bubbleI had a pair of ghost 90s a few years back that fitted me really damn well, my foot hasnt grown so would a x/max or s/max probably fit? I know it would be better to go to a boot fitter but thats off the table cuz of corona
mystery3Did your current boots break? Are you skiing right now? Are you going to need new boots befor next autumn, because you can probably get fitted in the autumn when bootfitters will have the best selection anyhow.
