Scraping wax with a ptex metal scraper

I normally scrape my skis at the lift line while my buddies are waiting on me, because I'm lazy. Because of that, I almost always use a metal ptex scraper, because it is 10x faster.
Any reason I shouldn't do this?

using a metal scraper can ruin the structure that your bases have and can give you a concave base if you do it too much. If you are lazy though honestly just use minimal wax and just scrape it flat but you don't have to get it all the way off. It will wear off relatively quickly as you ski it especially near the edges. When I didn't have a good place to wax my skis and didn't want to spend an hour vacuuming wax shaving I just used minimal wax so that it had an even coating and I didn't even scrape, jut let the snow do the work.
