How would you feel if you weren't allowed to visit your sick parent in the hospital and they died alone...
Its really sad to think about. Alot of these people checking in their loved ones to the hospital dont realize that might be the last time they ever see them alive. Sad stuff.
Really bad. Every worse when it gets to the point that an objective individual is making the decision to reallocate a ventilator from your loved one to another person, effectively killing your family member. Might get to that point in some of these heavily populated areas.

Can't have a proper burial either if they pass cause of the group gathering issue so prevntion is key, just getting thru to stubborn older folks can be challenging.
This is happening to a really good friend now. Friends mom passed(other health problems, not Corona) away last Saturday and the family was not allowed to be there with her, they werent even allowed to see the body before cremation or have a celebration of life for her. Keep in contact, facetime, phone calls, whatever you can do to keep in touch, do it!
I also feel bad for all the pregnant women out there knowing they may have to give birth in a hospital chock full of Coronavirus patients. Hopefully they there will be enough certified midwives for home births because that might be the only option. (We actually did home birth with our second and it was 100% better than the hospital stories we heard).

If you get a real midwife (not some sketchy unlicensed craigslist one) they have a set of rules for that such as no twins, breach or high risk labors. They always have at least two come to your house and bring a few large bins of medical supplies, pretty much the same as a hospital for bleeding etc and have a relationship with the local hospital and contingency plans etc. You are actually much more likely to have a high risk labor at a hospital because they put women in the wrong position, drug them up and go for a C-section if it takes too long. 30% of US hospital births end in C-Section which is actually a pretty fucked up statistic.

It’s not just the youngins. Both my company and the one I worked for have been deemed necessary 😩 so I’m in public 16 hours a day here in Pitt, I see a lot of who’s out etc... I see more elderly aimlessly wandering than anything, followed by people lounging at getgos, and sheets socializing etc and it’s primarily elderly, followed by ppl buying shit they’re afraid is gonna have a shortage
