Baker skis (Atomic Bent Chetler 120)

Hello NS, I'm looking for a new pair of powder/backcountry skis for Mt. Baker. I am interested in the atomic bent chetler 120 but im a heavy lad ~195lbs, 6'3" and am worried a ski thats ~1700g would feel unsupportive since I am used to skiing heavier skis. Baker tends to have heavier snow as well and would a light ski like that work like shit through the good ol' cascade concrete? Any other suggestions would be greatly appriciated. Anything 115+ underfoot. Thank you.

Black Ops 118. The ski feels like it’s built for baker. You can charge hard and not worry about the snow changing on you mid run. Makes hot pow and chop almost as fun as blower. Get them, you won’t be bummed.

I’d say it totally depends on what you are trying to do on the bent 120, are you going to ski untouched pow and do a bunch of butters and switch landings? Because if so its a great ski.

if you’re going to ski a lot of inbounds chunder, especially considering the denser snow at baker, I would consider something heavier. While the bent does ski well for its weight it can’t compare to the black ops 118 or something similar in terms of skiing variable snow.

Should probably throw ON3P in the mix since their design model was literally based around wet coastal skiing. Heavy, solid and dramatic rocker to plow through and stay on top of our coastal snow. Probably Jeffrey or Woodsman 116 depending how you ride.

But also think wildcats sound up your alley too.
Don’t really know anything about black ops so can’t comment.

I'll Double up on the ON3P recommendation. Bentchetlers are super light so they will get beat around in heavy snow. ON3P makes bombproof skis too. And you get get a 191 (longer in some models too I think).

I am thinking about the Jeffery 116 but am worried that they would be too heavy for lapping Backcountry, is there any alternatives that are lighter?

50/50 build or Tour build on custom would be way to go there depending on how light you want to go. I think a Jeffrey 116 50/50 is going to end up being the most popular internal touring ski at ON3P this winter.
