Skiing has not progressed since 2012. That run is as good as or better than any run being put down recently.

If you've watch a recent slopestyle event, you'd notice that the best skiers are doing multiple 1440s and 1620s, both ways, along with both ways spinning onto rails and spinning 450s and 630s out, lots of flips and other creative tricks with big spins etc.

Toms rail run was a back 4 and a sw 2 b4 the other way (very basic) and a sw 9 into 3 different 1080s, much less technical than a run that would happen today.

Toms style is obviously hard to beat, but there are tons of slopestyle skiers these days who are very enjoyable to watch, many of which looked up to tom. Its absolutely silly to say slopestyle hasn't progressed.

for me the second to last jumps landing is probably the most aesthetic thing ive ever seen in freeskiing. He lands in a way its difficult to put into words. Maybe german has some word for it

How could anyone forget this? I legit watch it at least once a year. I remember standing in my living room on pins and needles and shouting/cheering as he put down every trick. An iconic moment.

I remember watching it live and being blown away, definitely one of the most iconic slope runs. Also MikeDs commentary on the first rail "its like jumping up onto your kitchen counter"

"seinesgleichen suchend" would be good words I guess. means sth like searching for sth or someone to compare to

@IanAvery-Leaf also that course was a sick course. Different than a lot of the Buttermilk courses we see. Also, that dub 10 was stomped.

i still can't believe henrik only got 6th for that run, the last landing really fkd him over but even then he should at least have gotten top 3
