Jeffrey 108 mount point

Yo where should these skis be mounted if im skiing about 95% park and 5% all mountain when i go out west? These would be used primarily for rails but also on some large - xl jumps when i go for comps. So should they be center mounted or a little back? Thx

How far back is rec from center? And would recomended be chyll for taking off and landing switch off some bigger jumps? Thanks

Rec is 4.6 from center, or at least that's where blister had it.

Not as well. It’s not a symmetrical design so at dead center you’re going to fight the profile of the ski. The recommended line isn’t so far back that it feels weird. On the rec line the ski is still super balanced and skis switch just fine

Curious why you’re going with the Jeff 108s for 95% east coast park and mostly rails? Why not the Jeffrey 96 or Magnus?

I reach for my 96s over my 108s any day I’ll be in the park, or if it hasn’t snowed in a couple days and I’m not sending, or if I’m at the smaller local hill. Lighter and snappier and still has that solid ON3P thing going on.

But yeah I’ve mounted both pairs at recommended and they feel great there. Never felt too far back or like riding switch was weird or anything.

Idk, magnus 102s are a bit soft and more rockered, i like the atributes of jeffrey 96 as well but 108 is a really nice width for park imo, i like all the attributes of the ski and feel it would fit me well, and i dont mind the weight. Probably gonna end up buying 108s and centering em as a park ski

Fair nuff. Yeah they’re super solid ski and I love mine. Sounds like you know what you want and they’ll be dope for you.

And Scott can jump in but I recall the mount line being around -4.5 so +2 of that would be -2.5 from true.

True center vs recommended line delta is different for every ski, every length. Trust Iggy.

If you follow Iggy's advice, which you should, and read foxtrots' comment, then add two centimeters...carry the one...you end up with -2.6cm from center. I'd round down for simplicity and say -2.5.

Now get some masking/painters tape, a measuring tape, and a sharpie, a straight edge or carpenter's square would also come in handy. Put the masking tape across the skis a little bit in front of the recommmended mount mark, measure center then -2.5, and mark a nice clean line across each ski where you want boot center.

This procedure will limit chances of you getting a jacked up mount and starting a thread about it at a later date.
