Jeffrey 96 mounting

I just got a pair of on3p Jeffrey 96 and was wondering where I should mount them. I’m an east coast skier and spend about half my time in the park and half all mountain. Should I mount the true center?

Yes, like any non-symmetrical ski. It’s not designed to ski there so you’re gonna fight the sidecut of the ski by being ahead of it. Will also be easier to fold the tips if you’re ever blasting through choppy snow or fresh, etc.


People do mount forward if they’re riding mostly park, but usually it’s like -2.5cm from centre or so. Recommended mount is around -4.5 and it skis really really nicely there. Balanced and it’s still quite forward compared to most skis. Still carves really solid switch there too.

If rec really is -4.5 id move or forward a cm or even 1.5cm if you want a more centered ski for park

This. Pretty sure this is where mine are mounted. You won’t notice not being true center in the park. Shit even on my 108s at recommended I don’t feel any negatives on jumps or rails.

Mount them on the line. You’ll never be able to tell the difference. The ski is literally designed around the mount point.

Mount ON3Ps on the line. They ski so well from there. My Jeff's and Kartels are all factory rec.

Enjoy that ski. I find myself going for it more often than my 108s in Arizona just do to the hard days we get between dumps.

The edge hold isn't amazing, but it's a stupid fun ski and it's stable when you rip.

Just got some jessies 96 and was wondering if the line is true centered. I use it most for park so I was wondering if I notice anything in park or if I should remount them on true center?

The Jessie’s are the Jeffrey just the women’s graphic. Mount them
on the line do not mount them center. I think the line is -4.

You might. You could bump it up to -2 if you are spending 90% of your time in the park but don’t go true center. There was a thread about it on here and the kid did not take the advice to not go center and regretted it instantly.

OK thanks to yall. The fact is I already mounted it on the factory recommended point (its about -2 from my magnus with center) and I felt like it was a bit low back so I compared it to my magnus 90 and was shocked that it was a bit back. So I was a bit worried if I it might work off for skiing park.

Just mount a cm or two forward as mentioned above, I did the same with my Jeffrey 108s and they’re my only park ski. They’re sweet

My jeffs are mounted at rec and are great for park

Case is its already mounted and just noticed now that its not centred. Its like -3cm from true centre. Should I go to the shop and remount them at tru centre or should I leave it like that?

Personally I’d leave it. I didn’t really notice a difference and I’m sure you won’t. On3p put the rec line there for a reason

Haha well firts I didnt create the thread an second I dont ignore the opinions. I just need to have both side to make a choice. In the thread theres just everyone speaking from factory recommendation but I need to know the other side how its working when its centred...

They suck in deep pow but i’m also new to skiing pow and i got weak legs. They perform perfectly in the park and on everything else especially light pow.

Thanks yeah I normally dont ski pow with these. Just skiing park with it so... Got some old armada jjs for pow and they are awesome.

personally they’re a little less stable than i think they could be mounted rec, specifically on groomers

So for all who are wondering wheter you need to mount your jessies/jeffrey 96 on factory recommend or centered. I first had my bindings mounted at factory recommend its like -3cm from true center. So I took them up the hill to the park and I already felt that I need to get those centered. When jumping its not that big of a difference than centered you just will land a bit backseat when you are used to centered skis. For jibbing it was sketchy you felt like slipping of every time. So that day I went back to the shop and had my bindings remount at center. The next day skiing was just like of another world. Spins were a lot easier, never worried about landing backseat and also jibbin was way more relaxing. So the whole point of this is when you are used to ski centered I would highly recommend to not go on factory recommend. If you cant decide which mounting spot I would say go center if you ski like 3 out of 5 days in park. Hope I could help with my experience :)

Personally I think you shouldve waited to see if you got used to them at rec. mine are at rec and they feel great for rails. Mounting a second time also decreases the value. If someone is unsure of a mounting spot I’d say go rec

What size are you on and how tall are you? I’ve never felt the tails to be unsupportive landing backseat.

I have the Kartel 96s. The factory reccomended on it s -4cm from true center. I have my skis mounted at +2cm as they are my park ski, but even skiing a lot of different terrain I haven't had any issues.
