Playful park skis that are good for butters

I’m have some skis in mind that I’m liking to buy for next season. I was hoping for any thoughts/opinions that could help me narrow down my list

I’m 14yo, 5’7’’ 120lbs. I ski the East coast For the past two seasons I’ve been on a pair of 2017 Völkl revolt 95 in 157cm.

They were good skis, but not as playful and flexible as I want. I’m getting too big for them now.

List of skis: RMU rippah, Line blend, line chronic, line honey badger, armada Edollo, armada Bdog, on3p Magnus 90, on3p Magnus 102, Moment frankenski, Vishnu wet, or other recommendations

Blends will break quite quickly and super flexible none the less good ski. bdogs edgeless are sick for butters. Magnus 90/102 are great if you have money and they are durable. Badgers are a nice cheap alternative and nicely durable although some say they feel like they will snap in two when you flex them, one of my friends actually had a pair of lines and snapped them in two while hand flexing them. I can’t say anything bout the other skis

Vishnu wets are super flexy and are said to be durable so seems like that could be a great option.

If you ski mostly rails the honey badgers would be a super good choise

Get some surface Royales.. Literally snow noodles and are more buttery than blends or wets

idk... I can EASILY tail press for long amounts of time, and it takes little effort to do nb 3's on flat

I would heavily recommend the faction prodigy 1.0 but only get the newest ones, the older models are not durable at all really

For your weight and free ride out East you’ll no doubt have the most fun on the chronics if you ride 50/50 mountain/park. they carve, they butter , they stomp and the newest ones “feel” softer.
Rippah over chronic if your gonna see more off piste than on

Magnus or edollo over chronic for prioritizing park and jumps and butters over all mountain

Bdog, blends, wets for rails and butters priority is park

Think at your size and weight you’d find the on3p, and moments a lil heavy.

Honey badgers Low cost entry level but everything’s on sale rn buy something else

If you can handle the weight just wanna softer ski consider the Magnus, armada arv, Jeffrey or blackops98

Magnus Jeffrey and Blops 98 are not soft skis, the on3ps require a lot of effort to flex but you get a ton of pop. Blops is damp and stiff.

Eye of the beholder , def gonna vary from individual to individual, and they initiate “like” soft skis, they’re all very easy to ski, and I left them on bottom for those reasons.

The tips/tails of all those skis are quite soft. I have bOPS and they’re def softer than my 2018 chrons, and softer than Kartels/Jeffrey
The Magnus are softer than my 2018 chrons and waaaay easier to butter, I think they’d make a good ski for op to grow with .I also think they all have a more progressive flex pattern than his Volkls and feel softer.
animatorMagnus Jeffrey and Blops 98 are not soft skis, the on3ps require a lot of effort to flex but you get a ton of pop. Blops is damp and stiff.

and FYI... I tend to understate a skis flex according to my friends, had quite a few pm me like yo dude mags are kinda stuff and so are the b ops , at least more than what I stated in this post they feel

I got honey badgers this year. I went ham on rails at the begining of the season. I destroyd them, wood just comes out and like all the edge is gone on one ski and half the base on the other. If you ski rails and park hard stay away from honey badgers.

Idk if it was only the one model but tons of people on my hill have the 2019 honey-badgers and they are delamed cracked and overall busted up

This is true I have the 2019 honey badgers I have had them for just over one season and they have chunks cut out of them, de lamination and are starting to completely separate at the tips after being quite careful with them, however they are a great ski performance wise, quite soft but still poppy and responsive, good turn radius and great rail width the only real performance problem is that the tips are relatively flat so be careful doing butters, daffys, and nollies because I’ve caught enough times to be extra careful.
