Replying to Moms and skiing

So today my mom asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I was like uhhh snow pants and then she asked what size and I naturally said xl and then she freaked out. She wondered how they would stay on and why I would want that and she got concerned that they would cause me to crash and lose balance in the air and I was like what so I go and show her Henriks 14 or whatever from xgames aspen where the replay shows him landing backwards with his pants all falling down and I was like now she’ll understand but then she straight up disses him! Im offended and I need to know how to make her understand
