1080 poles suck

so i got some 1080 poles cause they were on sale for like $30 (orig $65) and the place didnt have any other good poles in stock. so i was just getting going from the chair when one of them snaps in 1/2...just from pushing off with them. ive had them for like 2 weeks and havent fallen with them or had any dmg on them. never buy 1080 poles...at least they have a 2 year warrenty..

no for serious dude. Armada is buying Quicksilver and then once they own Quicksilver they might own Rossi since Quicksilver might buy Rossi. Then again, maybe the lemonade stand down the street might buy Armada... which I guess would mean that the future of the sport is now owned by two little girls in pigtails. i have those scott ones taht are blue and red....those have lasted me about a year....my other pair lasted me nearly 2 years...i dont fall on them tho but they are still super strong

I agree, never BUY poles. If you ski under a chairlift you can pick some up. Or ask a patroller if their nice. They have a big trashcan full of lost poles. Or someone lost a pole and gave them the other one cause they have no use for it.

i just grab some of the rental poles from the lodge, im sure they dont differ that much from name brand to gaper brand

I have $15 leki poles. Wednesday i overshot a jump at Mt Snow and I didn't even land on the pole. I just pounded it into the ground because the impact and it bent in half.

Cheap rental poles (free)- skiing without worrying about broken poles, as you throw them away and go get another pair.

free poles for me with my skis

when those scott poles are 85 bucks just for the graphic and stylish grip, and joysticks, which are awesome, are just high priced...its dumb, because its all for the name/look of them

hehe...spray paint, thats a good idea..too bad where i am, the pole baskets look retarded. know anywhere to get new baskets? or make em for cheep? maybe ill just pull the baskets of my 1080 poles..
