theabortionatorFor sure I'm down. Decided to roll down to carson today to buy some supplies since the bay area fucks raped the stores up here. My roommate and downstairs neighbor don't have cars so I'm giving everyone a ride.
But we're def gonna be riding a bit. Sucks the base isn't good because there's some really good terrain behind my house on the ridge between kb and crystal bay.
Pretty open with spots, just wanna have some fun with the boys since we're all done with work. Donner seems like a good bet because there was snowpack, and most of my friends are in glenshire/truckee.
We'll def be doing something this week. And have some good shovelers. Probably nothing crazy but just something to do and have some fun. I'll shoot you a message or post in here if we make a plan.
Kinda a bummer because we just rebuilt the 2nd and 3rd jump in pinball and were gonna use this snow for 1. As well as building a second jump in sidewinder and probably moonshine plus some snow features. Was gonna be fun as fuck. Me and my friend have been trying different spins on the smaller jumps trying to get them dialed, but single jumps aren't as fun as even a 2pack obviously.
Would be sick if we reopened eventually but I feel there's less than a 10% chance of that at best. Hopefully you got some good riding in this year.

theabortionatorThat was almost a week ago. I also live in kings beach. I have a mtn right behind my house I hike.
The avy condition was sketch, and every kook from the bay drove up from the bay to ride so I actually didn't go out. The only snowboarding I've done in a week and a half was hitting a down rail 3 times at work while I was trying to pick up my check they lied about being ready.
I haven't traveled, I have food stashed at home and don't plan on leaving my house for any reason this week. I even canceled meeting up with my friend who I haven't seen who lives just on the other side of the lake. Car was fucked all year and then got it fixed but Vail fucked me on a paycheck and I didn't have the money. And now this. Haven't seen those guys since The beginning of november.
Donner is pretty local to us as well. Small friends group that I worked Park Grooming with till our last night last friday.
But yeah, literally haven't been riding, haven't been traveling. Have been locked down at home other than going to try and pick up my check twice that they said was there, and giving my roommate a ride to the hardware store on tues or wed. And on monday we drove to Carson City(like 40 minutes away) because our grocery stores were empty as fuck thanks to the bay area buying frenzy. The groceries that I grabbed down there are the reason I'm able to hole up inside right now and not leave my house. We kept it quick and stayed between costco and walmart. Wiped everything down, and then got back up to tahoe.
Idk what your point was but I literally haven't been doing anything I was advising against. I haven't put my skins on once or done shit for traveling.
