As a former liftie, groomer, and instructor, I have all kinds of sympathy for employees, and I never once said anything negative about them. Your problem has absolutely nothing to do with MY problem, which is that I paid for a full season and I am not getting what I paid for. The two issues are not related. Shit happens. If it had been low snow, that is part of the risk involved in buying a pass. How about you think about your customers instead of yourself, the hard work that went into paying for a pass, the canceled plans, the diminished value, etc. I'm not criticizing the call to close, I'm saying I am owed what I paid for. Alterra needs to take the financial hit and make things right with their customers, no matter what the reason for the closures. Or they lose my business, and so do you. You do remember that you have a ski area job because of skiers who buy lift tickets, don't you?. That people like me pay your wages and make your life possible? As usual, no gratitude or consideration for the customer. Typical local, thinks the world revolves around his problems.
