Im trying to find the video of the rossi team rider landing backseat and one of his skis literally exploding into pieces but i cant find it.

is rossi going to go out of business?

i think when kids watch how much more polished evan mceachran and colby stevensons skiing is (riding attack2s) compared to a hall (riding pivots), look(rossi) arent going to have as good a grip on the market as they have now.

Evan and colbys runs are the first 2 in this video.

I think I had an aneurysm understanding this post. I've never liked Rossi, but their skis along with volkls are popular mostly among racers. I don't think they'll go out of business anytime soon, but they're definitely not dominanting locally here.
Edit: to answer your question, if you buy Rossi skis, you might lose brain cells,, but at least you're not losing 300+ mil.

Haha. Do you know the video im talking about? Some rossi pro digs the back of his ski into the snow on a jumps landing, and the whole ski implodes into like 10 pieces. Im guessing that rossi is paying people off trying to get this video deleted from the internet so they dont go out of business like the french bitches they are.

That’s the exact thing I was thinking. Someone’s got buyers remorse from buying attacks and has to hate on pivots. Rossi is part of the explosion of free skiing. They used to sponsor so many guys in the park. And they used to make super dope skis and still do. They just went the way of salmon and moved to where the money is.

I just noticed that they look like they are just standing on their skis compared to other competitors riding bindings with a higher heel stack height than toe stack height. Maybe its the boots or something idk. But it looked to me like evan and colby had the most effortless looking style that day and the common denominator was their attack2 bindings. Idk.

Yeah thank you. Pretty unbelievable for a ski to fail that catastrophically just from too much tail pressure. Thats horrible even by french engineering standards.

Haha you got it man. Im so upset i didnt buy a binding that wiggles around all the time from minor torques put on it. Also i wish i had a heel piece that was as secure and robust as the pivot has. The pivot heel is obviously so bulletproof engineered that it would never have any sort of problem or safety issue!

Have fun tearing your acl when your tyrolias half ejects on a slightly backseat landing. Look pivots ski the same as tyrolias, ive had both, better idea to spend an extra 50$ for reliable bindings that wont shit themselves tryna land switch. Also the stack height difference between attacks and pivots is 1mm lmfao, there isnt even a higher heel piece on pivots.

Alex hall seems to pussyfoot his way through the park because he has to coax the wobbly heel pivot to move the way he wants it to, while people like evan mceachran and colby stevenson look like they have a much more solid connection with the snow because the stack height is short and flat and the toe and heel are rock solid secure.

????? alex hall and henrik harlaut are some of the best skiers in the world and they both ride pivots, if you actually skied you would see at your local hill that the locals ripping the hardest are most likely on pivots if they arent sponsored by a binding company. ask anyone who has skied both pivots and attacks, if you think that a 1/32 of a millimeter of play in a heel piece will change the way you ski then you seriously have something wrong in your head

And the fact that you associate someone’s skiing style to the bindings that they ride is mind numbing to me. Harlaut, AHall, Clayton Vila, Cam Riley, Tatum Monod and countless others ride Pivots. Maybe you’re out of the loop but Clayton and Cam were 2 of the smoothest skiers in the game for years and years, and I don’t think it had anything to do with the bindings they were skiing. How about Candide, Tom Wallisch, Quinn Wolferman who all ride Markers? 3 of the smoothest skiers I know. Again, nothing to do with the bindings that they ride. We get it, you love your attacks. That’s awesome for you, I’m genuinely happy that you love your bindings. Anything that gets people out skiing is cool with me. But stop trying to associate sales and reliability with what professionals ride. They ride what they’re paid to ride. There are a lot of options out there and people should be free to make their choice without anyone shoving other options down their throat.

I used to ride pivots. I didnt like the mushy/soft feel in the heel assembly. I used to convince myself it was better, but when i got back on non pivot bindings i was like “why tf did i abandon you poor bastards”

Yes, the ski was already damaged from skiing, or being run over by a car or whatever.
It did not just come apart from that one jump.
Rossi, ain't going away.
Like I said, any ski can be broken.

I fucking love my pivot 18's. I used two different sets of jester pros and hated them. The high stack height is great if you're racing and care about edge angle for carving, but if you like having edge to edge maneuverability, (swaps on rails/sticking landings/skiing bumps etc) any binding with a lower stack height is the way to go.

I have two pairs of pivots; an orange pair of Rossi FKS 180's that I bought in 2016 with zero issues since, and a pair of black P18's that I bought at the beginning of the season, also with ZERO ISSUES. Never felt safer in a binding than pivots, not to mention that the ski is able to flex naturally under the binding. With markers, the same skis just felt dead.

Can't speak for the skis, as my last and only pair was of Rossis were bump skis from 15 years ago, but those things did in fact rip.

Dude even boots have a bigger deal to do with skiing ability than bindings.

Also what? personal style and ability has so much more to do with how solid u look than any equipment u use

Look boys, it's like this. Pivot's need to be adjusted to BSL perfectly and not too many know how to do that.
If not, and they are a tiny bit too loose, you will feel the heel move around too easily.

Also, just the other day I saw a pair where the steel ring had broken! So I think some may have some issues.
I have not looked into that issue, but it may be a recall. Anyone know?

Ive skied rossis and pivots for years, sure I break them but I break on3ps and even other brand ive used too. I love rossis graphics, shapes, sizes, dampness and everything about thier stuff. at the end of the day it deffinetly isnt going anywhere so ill ride on them and you can ridde something else.... cool

I've had the same pivots for like 5 years and I've never had an issue with them loosening or me coming out of them prematurely. Maybe my pair are bulletproof but I've only heard good things about them and never heard of someone having a problem with them

All good man. Its just my theory that too much flexibility in the heel might not be optimal for every skier.



im probably a little biased about the rear support links on pivots because they look flimsy and frail. I dont know why they didnt at least make them look sleek. Other than that looks look pretty cool.
