Rage about pivots

i bought my first pair of pivots this year and for the most part i love them. however I have taken the right heelpiece to the place where the sun don’t shine and I can’t click out of the bindings without them turning around and me shooting a ski out.


so just for fun, what struggles have you people had with pivots?

bout an inch away but still caused some painus near the anus. those suckers stick up at like an 85 degree angle that punishes any back seat landings.

Yeah dude pivots are the greatest *buys binding 1.5x the price of competition* haha I know why it's called a dildo now *massages blown out ass* I'll catch up with you guys in a bit I'm good *struggles to click in heel in pow* nah it's cool I'll just make a leash so I don't lose my ski *$100 brakes explode releasing switch the first time* I just picked up new boots and they have a slighty different BSL *forced to remount skis 3cm back due to lack of adjustment and heel pattern*

If you click out of your bindings properly, your heel pieces will stay straight.

That being said I use my skis to click out, if im on a flat surface i get it every time, on a slope there is a 100% chance its crooked, but at this point its a small sacrifice for a near perfect binding IMO.

Let’s not forget what pivots Do to thumbs !!

I love my pivots , no frustrations whatsoever but I know how to take em off and I dont eat shit landing switch

But the fact they don’t make say a 105 mm binding kinda aggravates me

pretty much the common issue where I try to clip out and it sticks back up or I’ll clip in and the pivot will be unaligned with my heel, they are wonderful bindings but I love to hate them

The only problem I've had is with the brakes bending in the wrong direction, especially when I land switch. Also because the heel piece pops up it can be annoying to hike with. (from my experience)

but i don't understand how or why you would have your thumbs near your bindings when clicking in or out?

I click out with my poles

I’ve just seen pics of people with their thumbs caught. Usually from fooling with the binding when not mounted

If your heel piece is spinning a ton when clicking out. Sometimes that’s from the forward pressure being set wrong. Most shops will set them based off the indicator tabs on a bindings. Pivots indicators aren’t very accurate at all so pivots get set too loose by shops a lot. When they’re at the right setting they shoot out on you a ton less when clicking out. Still do it. But much less

I used to think kids were being cool using their skis to take off their bindings. Now I realize it's just 100 times easier and faster than trying to fit a pole into the weird angle to release the heel in pivots.

Yea i dont trust the indicator and bench test forward pressure for pivots.. and well. every ski that gets mounted because that's what you have to do..

Been using pivots for 9 years off and on... Markers are sharper and hurt more. Can sit tuck comfortably with pivots. Jesters were sharp as fuck. How do you even land backseat to the point that your ass hits your bindings like that?

I've had a fair few moments of sheer fear that my pivot will go too far up the valley of darkness. To this day I'm safe, knock-on-wood.

Learned very quickly not to use your poles to eject from the heel. Looks like I took a machete to that little hole
