I’m getting a glidecam so I can start doing follow cams and filming lines (I film freehand now so I can pretty much only film from a static position). I’m tryna film pretty soon so do u guys have any tips on how to get good at it??? I also don’t know what to do about focus, usually I shoot manual but I’m not sure here.
1. google "how to balance a glidecam" this will give you the basics of balancing the rig. if anything, you could reduce your drop time a second, that's all you need.
2. shoot wide and focus near infinity, there is a sweet spot with a wide lens where everything will be in focus, you gotta hit that.
