Has anyone else ever wondered why Jerries are so hard set on being Jerries? Jerries in themselves are not a homogenous group, a fairly proficient rider can be a Jerry if they do not recognize slope etiquettes (I.E. a Jerry Snowboarder with ruroc helmet snaking everyone by making wide ass turns)
However, despite the Jerries being a non Homogenous group there seems to be one common trait they all share; they are being a Jerry by choice (as opposed to the gapers who are unaware of their Gaperness).
Lets build a Jerry, set the scene.
I personally know of a Jerry snowboarder who only rides during the weekend, has a regular blue collar job, is relatively overweight, definitely the obnoxious type but not the fun kind or “Rowdy” more of the douche “FOOTBALL” kind of obnoxious.
Anyways all of these characteristics play into his absolute Jerriness which is a trait that makes him want to duck ropes because “there is probably sick terrain under the rope” , or uploading a GoPro video of their entire inbounds run down a groomed trail, or making a turn at the Least convenient time and choosing to avoid any technical lines even if the lead themselves into a technical spot by being a Jerry (which causes them to fall), or the best part talking loudly in the weekend lift lines about how they just Stomp shit!!
Well yeah anyways at this point I have started to conclude that Jerry is a mindset, that one develops based on many things but mostly their environment off the slopes. Anybody else have any supporting evidence, or know of any die hard Jerries?
