I can ski most rails but anything that has a kink or is up or down I just loop out on. I really need tips on trying to get balance and anything that will help me not die.
A video would give us a better idea of what you’re doing wrong but I’m gonna hazard a guess and say that your legs are too close together, your weight isn’t distributed to your front foot, and you’re not spinning a full 90 when you get on the rail.
agreed, a video or a description of what goes wrong would help
but honestly dude just start hitting rails with mellow kinks. i think the biggest fear you have to overcome on kinks is that they are almost always more mellow than they look
the kinks look tight and mean but you just be light on your feet and let your knees suck the kinks up a little and otherwise it's mostly like being on a non-kinked rail
start on some mellow ones to prove it to yourself and go from there. also as above dude said, make sure your rail fundamentals are on point of course. a kink will knock you off much more quickly if you aren't fully perpendicular to the rail and committed
Focus on the tip of the rail and just let the kinks happen under your feet, over anticipate not. Like that guy up there said, the kinks are always much more mellow than they appear.
