I can't tell you how many times I've been asked that EXACT sentence every time I board a plane with ski boots in a carry-on. Actually no Jerry, that is really the last place I'd wanna fucking be. Then I'll tell them where I'm going and list some iconic badass destination and they have no clue.

It's hilarious how many people only ski Breckenridge or how many people assume that is where I'm going. The amount of implied traffic due to Breckenridge's popularity is hilarious and makes me never wanna visit. Sure I'll visit once, mid week, on a non holiday week, just to check it off the list, but I'd also be perfectly content with never skiing there. Ever.

Breckenridge is seriously the worst. For a lot of reasons. I would go to abasin, copper, or wp ANY DAY over breck.

I love breck. Mega resorts where people dump 8k to ski 5-6 days a season are what keeps the bullwheels turnin'. Try my best not to ski there tho.

Give me a reason besides traffic... Which all of those other places have a problem with.
Same amount of people. Far away parking. Yellow jackets. There all kinda the same at this point.
Breck isn't that bad... Good terrain, good park, cool town. Could think of a lot of worse places to be.

Terrain is not as good. Far higher Jerry concentration. Worse parking issues. It is further away than any of the others if you're coming up i70. And it's owned by fucking Vail. Oh, and it's way more expensive.

I do ski brek alot, and there is some great fun to be had. However I feel that no planning went into where the lifts were placed sometimes. Seriously one lift makes a 90 degree turn halfway through. And it feels that you either wait in a long line for a lift that everyone funnels to or take some ridiculously long cat track to a different one in hopes of a shorter line

Midweek park laps at Breck are prime, but I agree on a weekend or holiday it's to be avoided at all costs.

I’ve only skiied it in April. High elevation keeps them open late. All those mountains 2 hrs west of Denver are pretty much equal overall with each having their benefits.
