No.QuarterFrom what I've heard the flex is similar to the Jeffrey, but with a more supportive tail due to having less tail rocker. I'm really curious about this ski as well, somewhat considering getting a custom 108 and I'm trying to decide if it is worth it to get the extra carbon fiber for a little more stiffness and how that would compare to my old 2015 Jeffrey and 2019 Wrenegade
pinkcamo1000cool that's about what I was expecting. I'm debating getting them with a custom softer layup so I can still do butters and stuff in the park after skiing trees but I'm worried that would make the ski chattery or something
No.QuarterIf you are wanting to do butters and park stuff why not just go with the Jeffrey though? I'm on the 181 Jeff 114 and they are still pretty stable given their short running length. I'd even say surprisingly stable since my other skis for comparison are the 189 and 182 Wrenegade.
pinkcamo1000Has anyone skied this ski? What I'm most curious about is the flex.
DirtyDirtNastyI will be at a demo day with ON3P tomorrow. I currently ski ON3P Kartel 108s for my daily drivers (BEAST SKIS BTW)
I am looking for a low tide ski so will be mainly checking out the Woodsman 96, Kartel 96, Wren 96, and possibly the Magnus 90. I can give you my opinions once I ski their offerings if you are interested.
pinkcamo1000Thanks man! I've been asking around everywhere about this ski and nobody knows anything about it I was beginning to think it doesn't even exist lol
DirtyDirtNastyYa same.
For refrence my daily drivers are Kartel 108 181cm.
So I rode the Woodsman 96 (177cm) and Woodsman 108 (187cm). Let me start off by saying that I was really impressed and will most likely be purchasing the Woodsman 96 182cm for my next ski.
The Woodsman skis like something in between the Jeffrey and Wrenegade, which makes sense. But I would say it leans heavily towards the Jeffrey rather than the Wrenegade. In my mind its like 75% Jeffrey DNA and 25% Wrenegade DNA.
The Woodsman is still a playful ski and I had no trouble skiing switch or slashing around the mountain. This ski likes to ski straighter than the Jeffrey.
What i mean by that is when I am bombing down a run on my Jeffreys(kartels) it doesn't feel like the ski really wants to charge like that. The kartel struggles to find an edge and i sometimes notice the front of the ski and back of the ski going in opposite directions. Not necessarily chatter but more of like when you are going to fast on a bicycle and your handlebars start to wobble. Like the ski will stay flat and on the snow and fishtail if that makes sense.
I don't bring that up to besmirch the Jeffrey skis. Rather to compliment how well the Woodsman likes to keep you moving downhill. It gives me more confidence when charging which is something I really appreciated. If you have ever ridden the Wrenegades you will know how punishing that ski can be. You don't want your ass in the back seat or you're going for a ride. I'm happy to say the Woodsman isn't that punishing. You can still ski over the balls of your feet like you can on the Jeffreys but also in a forward aggressive stance like you would on the Wrenegades.
That said I did notice the woodsman prefers you not to be a lazy skier and likes to be skied in a more forward stance. Not in a punishing way but just in general. You can have a lot of fun on the woodsman and I think ON3P knocked it out of the park with this design. I see it being their top seller in the years to come.
Also a side note, I noticed when bombing down the mountain switch on the Woodsman it was super easy for me to maintain my speed while rotating back to skiing regular. Like i felt more confident in the transition from swtich to regular than I do on my Kartels. Maybe that's because I was on a skinier ski 96 vs 108. Or maybe that speaks to how well the woodsman can find and keep an edge.
Other skis I tried were:
Blizzard Brahma 88 - wack
Rossignol Blackops Holyshred 98 - very fun ski
K2 Poacher 96 - fun ski
Nordica enforcer 93 - wack
ON3P Woodsman 96/108, Wren 96, Jeffrey 96
Let me know if you have any questions about the Woodsman or any of the other skis.
Peace
SofaKingSickGreat post man thanks
How’s the twin on them? My skiing nowadays wants a ski like the woodsman but I still want to do switch stuff decently often, and this type of ski often comes with a short rise in the tail. It’s all good on the woodsman? Did you take off switch on anything as opposed to landing or riding switch?
DirtyDirtNastyYa same.

DirtyDirtNastyI didn’t take any takeoffs switch. The twin isn’t as aggressive as the Jeffrey I’d say about half as much splay, if that’s the right term. But it’s plenty is my opinion for all but the really deep days. I spent plenty of time on the skiing switch and they felt great going backwards.
CatdickBojanglesIs the tail very rockered? I have the Jeffery 96s and a pair of Magnus 102s on the way but was thinking of the woodsmans and my directional ski.
DirtyDirtNastyThe wrenegade was designed for masochists. Just playing, but you will know if you are the type of skier who demands the wrens.
