Or do I have to use a diamond stone? Do you have any other methods that you use?

I use a normal one for mine. As long as whatever your using is effectively dulling the edges it should be fine

I use a rough/coarse file first and then a gummi stone to get rid of the burrs. Just make sure that you change the angle you’re filing at when using a file in order to get a nice round edge. Cheers!

Sandpaper has always been better imo
best set was always a random orbit sander with 60 grit, and just barely hitting the edge with it over the course of 10 minutes per and edge underfoot. Then stepping up to 120 to finish it out

I just use a rock from the parking lot.
