MXmxWhen I worked at Deer Valley (back when they had a park), I’d see 80-90 year olds ski all the time.
Stein Eriksen died at 88 years old and I think he skied past 85.
Having a park at Deer valley was so amazing with no snowboarders camping on jibs and sitting everywhere in the way.

Traffic_ConeI saw a guy a squaw that looked at least 60 yrs old do a switch backflip off a fairly big jump. Later that year I saw the same guy doing hand drag cork 3s off knuckles at mammoth. I mentioned the guy to someone on the chair and apparently he’s called “rad dad”.

I think there’s a new attitude to aging. Older people just see it apart of life where as younger people see it as a choice.
Expect to see more older skiers in the future.

oldmanski93?! This is super cool! My father-in-law went Saturday, made 5 runs and called it quits.
SkylineGTR_R32Don’t drink, smoke, swear, never has, maintains 3 homes and her ill daughter (my aunt), still sails boats and skis. She’s an inspiration to us all
