Best Camera For Filming

me and the boys wanna buy a nice camera for filming this year and none of us really know whats best. Were gonna film mostly park and some urban too. Looking for Cheap prices since we aren’t professionals. Preferably used. Whats the best type of camera for skiing and where should I start looking

PANASONIC DVX (SD-TAPES) or HVX200 (HD digi)

that's what I've always used. they are only getting cheaper now as they get older.

look on Craigslist & eBay.

I prefer GoPro cus I can use a gimbals and I trust it more and I don’t have to deal with focus also it is light but u do have to film in liner I film in 2k or 1080p liner 60fps and if there is a chance I will slow it down I will film in 240 or 120 and slow down some parts and export it as 1080p 60fps also GoPro have voice control so u not have to mess up the gimbal to start recording also it has som distortion but it is barely notable also SLVSH uses a GoPro with a gimbals and mic in all of there videos

GoPro is a great camera and best bang for buck in terms of tech specs. Severe limitation is fixed lens and fixed focal length. Very limited depth because of the small sensor, can't get shots from far away. If you're only filming followcams GoPro is ideal. If you are trying to make any other kind of video it is limiting. GoPro is a great camera to have in addition to a traditional camcorder or DSLR but won't go too far on its own unless the product format is a specific style that you'd only need the GoPro look.

There is no "best" camera and on a cheap budget you'll have to decide what you want out of it. Lots of good suggestions here already, but if you have no money and want to make fun videos with the homies, buying a dadcam is never a bad idea for skiing imo.

A6000 has been my go-to. Recently picked up a minidv cam (sony hvr-z1u) just to try out some diff formats. Hyped on getting the best of both worlds.
