OP yeah you just need to get stronger and more used to the skis/skiing, because those are the right length for you and they're soft and easy-to-ski skis

are you coming from something much smaller? that's my guess and you're just having a little transition pain right now

it's no worries though, just get a little stronger and ski with good form and you'll be all set really soon. promise!

backyardcrackeri’m 5’8 and have a pair of 171 cm, center mounted blends. idk if i’m doing something wrong while skiing, but they just feel a tad too long, like hard to throw around and especially spin on and off with.

McJubbyMaybe pay a bit more attention to how you distribute your weight on your skis? I think centre mounts are more likely to feel fucky if your fore/aft balance is off. Try to feel your weight in the start of your arch of your foot and have a neutral stance in your boot (shin and calf touching front and back of boot with equal pressure). From there, once your ski feels more maneuverable, you can get more aggressive/forward if that’s your style
