anders_athat whole level thingy is borked, like for me ... pro/expert is pro. if your makeing a living of skiiing, your a pro, if not, your not.
Advanced, the level before pro, they could be pro, but missing the last 5-10%
Sooo that would leave me at intermediate, but all the skis I ski and prefer that doesnt feel like noodles to me are "advanced/expert/pro" and I've skied since I was like.. 6? (cross country before that)
I honestly feel its hard to say what level I'm skiiing at, I'd much rather just describe what/how I ski, or show it. Also growing up in norway your really really really not allowed to brag about anything, having a nice car is even frowned upon.
As for reddit... its the internet...
There’s pros who make money off their ability to ski.
Theres people who consider skiing one of the most important things in their lives, actively plan their year around skiing, and are familiar with the culture/nuances.
Then there’s the general skiing populous of rich whities and their kids who ski 3 times a year tops. The r/skiers.
