Best FT boot for wide feet?

i was looking at the drop kick, and classic. someone mentioned the descendant 4 was better for wide feet, any suggestions?

Go to a boot fitter. From what I have heard, Full Tilts all run narrow. You will likely be better off with something like Salomon. Just basing this on what I have heard though; take a boot fitter's advice, not mine.

I’ve found that the definitely don’t run narrow but that’s my experience. My foot is 98-99mm wide and I rock the Seth Morrison (from a few years ago, 99mm last) without an issue, as well as the Ascendant for touring. Definitely go to a boot fitter, but it doesn’t hurt to ask the boot fitter to try a specific boot and see what they think!

I have fairly wide feet and rock the First Chair 6s.

HOWEVER - I was able to splurge on ski boots and tried on multiple pairs of multiple brands, and I settled on FTs because they legit felt the most comfortable for my foot in general. So if you are in the market for new boots and have a flexible budget, I highly recommend trying on a lot of different boots instead of just gunning for FTs.

No, I have a wide foot too and they fit real well. They're a good boot in fact so good I hear there's a company that makes improved versions of them. Lol , I prefer the unimproved but proven for cheaper version.

Yeah the Soul shell is defiantely not a 99 last like they say. I have a pretty wide foot and fit into the soul shell without a punch or anything. Cant speak on the Classic or the Ascendant shells though.

The soul and the classic are a little different for sure! The classic is the OG raichle mold and the soul is a little roomier especially in the toe box. I went for Seth Morrison’s because the soul shell worked fine but I had some pinch points in the drop kick

Descendant 6s that are broken in and heat molded are very [/b]wide. I’ve always had issues with boots not being wide enough and these really worked for me and I’ve been experiencing less and less pain as I use them.

I believe the dropkicks are also fairly wider
either way heat mold them boots op and buy a good insole

Yo! If you've got a wider foot and you're 100% sold on FT look at a B&E or potentially a descendent 4 or 6. Both use the evolution shell, which naturally has a wider last. The B&E has a last around 102mm, so that would be your best bet. If you're not opposed to other brands, Dalbello tends to run on the wider side, same with certain salomons (they tend to have a wider toe box than anything else). Full Tilts are a low volume boot, meaning if you've got a high arched foot, or a "Taller" foot, you'll probably run into some comfort issues with FT. Dalbello on the other hand is a bit higher volume, so it'll accommodate that "tall" foot better.

All in all i'd say go to a good bootfitter, they'll get you set up with something that'll work for your feet. I've been bootfitting for a few years now, and if you've got a good bootfitter where you live, it'll be worth while for you to go chat with them. Cheers homie.

Correct, 99mm last. The difference between the Drop Kick/Classic and First Chair/Tom Wallisch pro is the shell. The DK/Classic are built on the OG Racihle mold, which is lower volume than the Soul shell (TW Pro/First Chair). They’re both 99mm wide but the Soul shell has a wider toe box and is widely viewed as more comfortable due to the extra space. Obviously this depends on the foot inside it though. Cheers!
