Anybody been to Bhutan?

Looking at taking an exchange there for experiential learning. I know it's hard to get into the country, but my program has an in. I was wondering if anybody has experiences you would like to share, or if anyone knows much about forest fire industry down there?

I recommend you purchase a map. You seem confused. Bhutan is not in South America, Australia, New Zealand, or sub-Saharan Africa. Beyond this basic geography lesson, I have no help in regard to Bhutan.

Bhutan is pretty mountainous and high elevations. Do they get forest fires? I really don’t know.

They share a boarder with Tibet and I know it’s extremely hard to get a visa in Bhutan. Very isolated culture and closed off to rest of the world.

Also what are you hoping to learn in wildfire industry from Bhutan?

You’d probably learn more being on hotshot crew in the states or working for the Canadian ministry equivalent.

Buddy if you have the chance to go for free please do. My fiance and I would love to go but its around $250 a day per person (most be owned by Vail) just for the permit to be there.

Shit would be life changing.

My friend did for some sustainability course at I think Colorado Mountain College. Anything I should ask him? Pretty sure he’s not on here and he hates skiing now anyways
